NOVA Catholic Community celebrated its 50th anniversary on Jan. 12and 13, 2018, with a joyful liturgy and reunions with members new and old, returning from as far as New Orleans, Bellingham, WA, Minnesota, Connecticut, North Carolina, New York, and Mexico.
Invitations went out the previous fall with a request that everyone reflect on and write about the impact NOVA has had on their lives. Here are the responses....
But the reflections didn’t stop there. Many people, including priests who presided with us over the years, took time to send well-wishes and other notes:

The fun began on a rainy Friday night, Jan. 12, in the community room of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Community volunteers contributed to a welcoming dinner of chili, salads and desserts,
and the NOVATones led us through musical – and other -- memories.
Videos following are reflections of "What has NOVA been to you?" Several reflections were sent for the celebration by young people who grew up in NOVA and were affirmed.
Mary Kay Fredgren Stebbins' reflection
Emilio Icaza Alvarez's relection
Kate Doherty's and Tom Bettag's reflection
Monica Rosenberg's read by Linda; Tom Marron's read by Betsy;
Cecilia Cackley's read by Alicia; Andrew Mausert-Mooney read by Victoria
Chris Swanberg's, David Mog's, Kathy Fredgren's, Mary Grace's, and Serena Nelson's reflections
OKLAHOMA rewritten about NOVA and sung at the Friday night gathering.

We joined again on Saturday, Jan. 13, for liturgy and a gala dinner celebration.
